Green Giveaway Wednesday: Nellie’s Dryer Balls

Posted by Tara Burner on November 12, 2008

This week’s prize is Nellie’s Dryer Balls donated by GoGreenHomeMakeover.com

Nellie’s Dryer balls save energy by reducing dryer time by 25%.
They also eliminate the need for chemical fabric softeners.
Retail Price: $19.95

Nellie’s Dryer balls not only soften fabrics naturally without the use of chemical fabric softeners, but the dryer balls lift and separate fabrics as they tumble around, allowing air to flow more efficiently- thus reducing drying time up to 25%.
The design of the dryer balls nodules relaxes the fibers during the drying cycle. Clothes feel softer and towels are more absorbent.

I really could use these, because I know that dryer sheets are full of chemicals, and I really want a safer alternative. Every time I remember to look for them, I can never find them at the store. Thanks for another great giveaway!

I’ve been wanting to get my hands on some of these. I have been hanging all of my clothes to dry for over a year now due to a dryer break down. I loved it, but it’s getting a bit chilly now and I was blessed by a friend with a new dryer and if I can continue to help conserve energy this winter with my dryer I’m all for it! Staying warm, having dry clothes, and helping the environment - it’s a win-win situation.
