Eco Tuesday: Car a/c on or off?
Ahhhhh the big debate
it’s summer, it’s hot
you want to be green
do you drive with the car a/c on or do you turn it off? What is one to do?
You’ve heard claims on both sides so here’s the 411:
When you want to drive as green as you can:
when you’re going under 40 mph go ahead and roll down the window, turn the a/c off and enjoy the breeze.
But, if you’re driving over 40 mph roll up the window, turn on the a/c because the drag created by the windows being down at over 40 mph will outweigh the effect of not running the a/c.
