Work and play

How many people work a large portion of their adult lives in a career or JOB they don’t truly enjoy?
I know many many years ago people had the mindset of “go to college, get a JOB, retire, die” and that was it.
It didn’t matter if they actually enjoyed the JOB or not.
It didn’t matter if they got bored with it and wanted to change their line of work, they simply stuck to it, doing the mundane chore every work day and hating it.
WHY?
What’s wrong with actually enjoying what you do?
They say that the average American works 1952 hours a year.
Now, why would you want to spend approximately 84 full 24 hr days working a job you don’t like?
Life’s too short to not enjoy what you’re doing.

The supreme accomplishment is to blur the line between work and play.”
~~Arnold Toynbee

Have you managed to blur the line?
Are you doing what you truly enjoy? if you are…EXCELLENT!
or are you suffering along? if you are…WHY?

Well, it’s almost that time of year again.
I’ll be 42 on 1/20 (yep, not afraid to say my real age!)

It takes courage to grow up and become who you really are. ~e.e. cummings

A birthday is just the first day of another 365-day journey around the sun. Enjoy the trip. ~Author Unknown

Meanwhile, now’s a good time to start “cleaning house” of what doesn’t fit in with my plans.

The minute you choose to do what you really want to do it’s a different kind of life ~~ R Buckminster Fuller

I’m selling many of my existing websites that I simply don’t have time nor desire to maintain and promote the way they should be.
You can take advantage of my “birthday cleaning house” phase and pick up any of these at the reduced rates because I’d like these to be gone and me to be able to focus on other avenues.

Do you really want to look back on your life and see how wonderful it could have been had you not been afraid to live it?~~Caroline Myss

Need metal bottlecaps

Posted by Tara Burner on November 14, 2009

This may sound like weird request but if anyone who reads this still drinks out of glass bottles  (soda, beer, etc.) that have metal bottle caps and you want to recycle your bottle caps, email me.

Okay, it’s not really recycling them, it’s more “upcycling”.  I have a use for them so it’s reusing (upcycling) them rather than just tossing them in the garbage.

If the bottle caps are in decent condition, I’ll pay you for them.

Adventures in jogging

Posted by Tara Burner on September 24, 2009

Today I got the brilliant idea to start jogging again. (shhhh I hear you laughing!)
I was in track in high school and used to run daily but well…high school was long time ago!
I even have a note from the PE teacher showing that I beat my brother in 50 yard dash (sorry little brother but I didn’t often beat your time, had to get and keep proof of it!)

jogging

Anyhow, I decided this morning that I’d go to the park and attempt to jog.
Following you will find some interesting FYI’s and tips:

1. Make sure the path is not flooded!

2. Make sure ipod is charged! (wow has it been that long since I jogged!)
3. It IS possible to jog and text at same time (can verify this with my frrrrrrrrrriend Jessica!)
4. Even when tired, sore (probably wouldn’t be if I’d do this more often)…you can still push on further and faster when tall weird dude is walking behind you.
5. Take WATER to drink! This should really really go without saying…it is South Florida-still hot & humid-I own countless stainless steel bottles from various companies and yet somehow didn’t think of taking one with me!
6. Do not text Jessica telling her tip #5 because she’ll tell you to sip the mucky muddy water over the path since it’s there and free water!
7. Be prepared for the next time…yep, there will be a next time…hmmmmmmmmmm think I should go charge the ipod now!

Attracting All You Want

Posted by Tara Burner on September 22, 2009

I’m working on a new site at AttractingAllYouWant.com

I decided to start it to help others obtain what they want as well as share information pertaining to getting what you want.

Whether you believe in the Law of Attraction or prefer being prosperous and getting what you want by God’s grace and mercy there will be something for you on the
new site.

Many people within churches believe that wealth, prosperity, abundance and asking for things isn’t “Christ-like”.
However, scripture says otherwise.

I’ll be sharing many resources, programs, information along with scriptures and methods
here to help you obtain what you want.

Eye Pillow-Headache No More

Posted by Tara Burner on September 17, 2009

I received a Headache No More eye pillow from EyePillowCompany.com and love it!

They have various mixtures and fabrics for you to custom design your eye pillow.
I put mine in the freezer for a bit before using to add to the relaxation process, cool refreshing relaxing eye pillow totally put me at ease and enabled me to simply relax.
The eye pillow lays gently covering your eyes, conforming to your face (not just being ‘dead’ weight like some other eye masks, etc.) and the herbs used are calming…bringing forth a tranquil escape.

I received the Headache No More mix.
Eye Pillow Company is the first company that  I’ve found that the contents do not include lavender in every mixture.
See, I cannot be around lavender…it has reverse affect on me…it gives me an instant vein throbbing migraine.

Headache No More

Our ‘Headache No More’ filling is a mixture of organic eucalyptus, organic peppermint and organic golden flax seeds. We have specially selected aromatic herbs with a healing effect to help ease headaches and sinus aches.

Choose this blend to help you relieve headaches, migraines and sinus discomfort. This blend can be particularly effective if when chilled; simply cool your eye pillow in the fridge or freezer for about 10 minutes before use.

You can find them on Twitter at @eyepillows and @getrelaxed

You can order directly from them at EyePillowCompany.com
I love mine and can totally recommend them, knowing that the product is excellent and actually helps!!

So, why are you still here??
Relieves headaches, helps with stress, relaxes you, calms you…go get yours!
Go get your eye pillow now, you’ll love it!
